The Heidi Bowl
I don’t know if anyone here is old enough to remember the Super Bowl game when NBC decided to cut it short, so Heidi could start on time. Fans were angry and the screams could be heard across the country.
I was reminded of Heidi last night. I was just about to see the season’s climax of my favorite show Deadwood, and it froze. I flipped through the other channels then came back to see the end of the show. Fortunately, I can see it again at my leisure, but it did not feel fair at the time.!
